If you’re reading this blog entry you’re probably already a fan of The Long Green Line but maybe not. Maybe you’ve haven’t see it yet, at the behest of your friends, coaches and running mates. Maybe you’re hanging back, waiting for the right time to make your move. Well, there’s no time like the present. Go for it! And it’s not just us sounding our own gun.
In scanning the internet we come across LGL recommendation left and right. Not only high school runners, or coaches or cross country enthusiasts sing its praises. Bob D. of the blog Sub 30 5K is 44 yrs old and started running this year with the goal of finishing a 5k in under 30 minutes. Well, in his first 5K on 4/25/09 he managed a 24:51. Way to go Bob! That’s what we like to see, a clear goal and follow through. Coach Joe Newton would be proud.
We here at LGL Productions are pretty sure watching The Long Green Line inspired a bit of this greatness. Listen to what Bob D. has to say about it. “…If you’re a runner, or have kids doing cross country, or a coach of ANY sport, I think you might find this movie inspirational and enjoyable.” Pretty clear endorsement and if we do say so ourselves, he’s right. Thanks for the recommendation Bob. We’ll run right out and see it today!
